Dallas Baptist University Williamsburg Townhomes

FJW Construction served as the contractor for the construction of two units of Williamsburg Village Townhomes at Dallas Baptist University, in order to provide more on-campus living options for students.  This urbanist-style townhome neighborhood has two-story, three-bedroom, three-bathroom residences for upperclassmen and graduate students.  Residences include walk-in closets, upstairs study area, and front porches.  The neighborhood is on the north side of campus, and is close to classrooms and athletic fields.

The residential structures are conventionally framed with slab-on-grade foundations, using high-quality materials and systems including fire protection.  Interior finishes even include custom millwork and crown molding, along with custom-fabricated railings and columns.

FJW was able to offer substantial savings to DBU because they were constructing another project on the campus at the same time.  Cost savings were generated by utilizing existing on-site supervision, engaging subcontractors already working on campus, and through the direct purchase of materials, which eliminated additional markup.
