On May 3rd, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport unveiled the Airbus A380 fuselage mockup at its Fire Training Research Center. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson was among the speakers at the event. Utilizing TEK fuel and propane flames, the A380 mockup is for live fire training exercises. FJW Construction is serving as general contractor for the center’s $29.2-million renovation program. Partially funded by the Federal Aviation Administration, the facility upgrades are scheduled for substantial completion by end of 2012.
