Zapata County Museum

Our team was selected to convert this former municipal swimming pool and natatorium into a new 3,500 SF museum.

Site development includes the scarifying and reconditioning of existing soils as well as the demolition of one structure. The concrete exterior paved surfaces are stained and patterned concrete sidewalks. Existing site utilities are excavated up-sized and re-routed.

New construction includes the renovation of two one story existing structures and the construction of a new exhibit space linking and combining all into one.

The buildings structures are comprised of load bearing masonry over concrete grade beams and structured slab foundation. The exterior façade consists of masonry, curtain wall and stucco with artistic key elements designed within.
