Kansas State University Wefald Hall Addition & Renovation

FJW is providing construction oversight for Kansas State University on an eight-story building addition to an existing cafeteria, kitchen and and dining hall.  The approximate value of FJW’s contract is $7.8 million.  The project includes a cafeteria renovation and addition to the first and second floors, and enlargement of the existing kitchen and dining area.  FJW is furnishing and installing the prefabricated structural metal stud, steel column and gyp sheathing wall system to the upper dormitory floors.  They are also providing drywall systems throughout the entire building, as well as acoustical, drywall and specialty ceilings.  The project takes place on an active campus, adjacent to another multi-story dormitory, which requires special logistics to complete construction.
