McDonald’s

FJW Construction was selected to finish-out the interior of the McDonald’s Restaurant at DFW's International Terminal D.

Work on this 1,400 SF project was compressed in an extremely tight schedule to meet the original planned opening of the Terminal. The work was performed in a high security area, requiring coordination with TSA and airport security service for both terminal and airside access.

The project consisted of finishing out the interior space to meet the corporate finish image, while adhering to strict Airport Board restrictions. It required the use of company forces, as well as corporate subcontractors and suppliers.

FJW coordinated all aspects of the construction process including delivery, receipt, installation and connection of all owner-furnished restaurant equipment and fixtures. One of the biggest challenges on this project was the acquisition of the custom glass for the storefront. This long-lead item could only be purchased from a limited source list, and had to be carefully coordinated.
