First Financial Bank - Acton Branch

First Financial Bank originally selected FJW Construction to build its Midlothian, Texas branch. They were so pleased with our performance that multiple projects were subsequently awarded.

FJW worked closely with the architect and engineers to develop a working plan to provide two TXDOT approaches and work with the Acton Municipal Utility District and local electrical cooperative to insure code compliance. Because Acton was not a city, but a small, unincorporated community it’s infrastructure plans were not current and the FJW team discovered that the main water line had no water and that the building’s waste line had to be reworked in order to create the appropriate grade, which was different than that shown on drawings. The site work ultimately included a 1,200 SF storm detention pond tied to the storm drainage system and 16,000 SF of concrete paving.

The signature exterior of the building was designed with the First Financial Bank cast stone columns and entrance pediment. The detached six bay drive-thru canopy includes a complete pneumatic tube system, night deposit until, and a detached ATM.

The interior of this branch includes a full-height storefront entrance with a lobby of honed granite, while the teller line is constructed of cherry wood and granite. The lobby has a gabled ceiling with exposed structural beams and pendant lights.

FJW completed the construction, met the challenges and delivered the facility on schedule.
